Re: Two New Titles – 2025

We’re stepping out of our hiatus to announce two new forthcoming poetry collection releases this year:

1. “On the Birthdate of the Steelborn” gathers seventy new poems by Dess Balota. In this collection, Dess brings to life a suite of poems bristling with biting observations, where each line chafes at the edge of myth and memory.

Desiree pens protests and prizes and wishes and dreams through spider maps and butterfly roads. She has activists’ sketches between her bookends and surrealist gardens in her collections of leaves.

2. “Shadow of the Wind” stands as Cesar Ruiz Aquino’s poetic magnum opus, showcasing more than 120 new and past poems, personally curated by the poet.

Sir Sawi is a literary wizard from Dumaguete whose poems and stories twist language like a magician bends light. With a shelf full of awards and a mind full of mischief, he’s spent decades turning everyday moments into myth and mentoring young writers to do the same.
